Those iQFOiL Class Full Members wishing to make a submission for consideration by the iQFOiL Youth & Junior Class Annual General Meeting shall do so by filling the SUBMISSION TEMPLATE and sending it by email to info@iqfoilyouthjuniorclass.org by 2400hrs UTC on 17th November 2024.
iQFOiL Class Full Member shall confirm their appointed delegate for the AGM by the President or Secretary of the represented NCA or MNA and authorize that person to vote on any submission on their behalf.
Said authorization shall be received by email sent to info@iqfoilyouthjuniorclass.org by 2400hrs UTC on 1st December 2024.

The observers cannot attend the AGM online.
Be Prepared
Delegates are urged to take time to read the agenda and the attached submissions in advance and come prepared.
Please note that if your MNA or NCA is not up to date with its membership in the international iQFOiL Class Association, you will be unable to make submissions or vote at the AGM.

2024 EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING
Online via the Zoom conferencing system - 15th April 2024 - 14.00 (Paris Time)
The iQFOiL Class and the iQFOiL Youth & Junior Class have been tasked with assessing a significant proposal regarding equipment adjustments for the upcoming Olympiad. Specifically, this proposal entails changing from a 9m2 sail to an 8m2 sail (allowing the 5.30 mast) for Senior Men, and from an 8m2 sail to a 7.2 or 7.3m2 sail for Senior Women and Youth Girls (allowing the 4.90 mast and both senior and youth boom).

Recognizing the importance of this matter, the iQFOiL Class Executive Committee has decided to convene an Extraordinary General Meeting in accordance with Article 6.4 of the Constitution to ensure all members have the opportunity to voice their perspectives and present arguments for or against the proposed changes.

This meeting aims to deliberate on pertinent issues, including concerns regarding potential health implications associated with weight gain to meet the typical iQFOiL size, challenges faced by Youth sailors in transitioning to the senior circuit, and the evident decline in participation of young girls in the sport.
All submissions were discussed back-to-back.
The Delegates were asked to fill in the Google Form that was provided just before the EGM and send it back by 24.00hs the 15th of April 2024 UTC Time.​
Only the votes of delegates officially nominated by their MNA were considered.
Only the votes of Class Full Members (i.e., those current with their membership fee on the day of the EGM) were taken into consideration.
Delegates had the option to vote YES, NO or ABSTAIN.​
The results will be published on the 16th of April.​
The % will be calculated over the members that vote, abstain votes will not count for the %.​

2023 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Online via the Zoom conferencing system - 21st October 2023 - 18.00 (Paris Time)
The minutes of the iQFOiL Youth & Junior Class Annual General Meeting (AGM) are the official, written record of the discussions and decisions made during the meeting. These minutes typically include details such as the date, time, and location of the meeting, a list of attendees, and summaries of key discussions on topics like Class Rules, competition formats, equipment standards, and future plans. They also document the outcomes of votes, any resolutions passed, and action items assigned. The minutes serve as an important reference for ensuring transparency, accountability, and continuity within the iQFOiL Youth & Junior Class community.
All submissions were discussed back-to-back.

2022 ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING

They include the date, time, location, attendees, and summaries of key topics such as Class Rules, competition formats, equipment standards, and future plans. The minutes also document voting outcomes, resolutions passed, and assigned action items, serving as a vital reference for maintaining transparency, accountability, and continuity within the iQFOiL Youth & Junior Class.
2021 EXTRAORDINARY GENERAL MEETING
Online via the Zoom conferencing system - 29th November 2021
The Extraordinary General Meeting was convened at the request of certain MNAs to discuss switching from aluminum to carbon masts for the U17 series. The reasons for this proposed change included:

1. Health Concerns and Weight Gain: Carbon masts would allow for a greater range of athlete weights to perform effectively. In light winds, carbon masts facilitate early flying, and in strong winds, they require less weight for control.
2. Strengthening Trade and the Second-Hand Market: The widespread use of carbon masts supports a robust trade-in and second-hand market, making equipment more accessible and promoting sustainability by extending the equipment's lifecycle.
3. Security: Carbon masts are easier to control, reducing falls and making practice safer.
4. Learning: Carbon masts are more forgiving, aiding the learning process for new sailors.
5. Growth of the Class: Standardizing masts across classes facilitates smoother transitions for young sailors and supports long-term growth by reducing financial barriers and promoting continuity from youth to senior levels.
Despite these arguments, the proposal did not receive the necessary votes. Therefore, the U17s will continue using aluminum masts.

2020 INAUGURAL GENERAL MEETING
